Special supplemental videos

Enjoy and learn from these selected vidoes from the York Area Taekwondo Academy and around the world.  These featured videos will change regularly, and according to student topics of interest.

Below is a short Hapkido lesson by Instructor Michael Koons, with Jill Jacques assisting.  Here, the ideas of moving an attackers balance off their center of mass, along with defending using linear and rotating motions are presented.  In all, this transforms a simplistic Orange belt technique into a restraining one, making the takedown more efficient.

Next is an impressive demonstration of breaking techniques on stacks of bricks and stone marble slabs by the taekwondo Masters of the Kukkiwon.  This clip contains a rare brick break using a 540o jump spinning hook kick (which is typically done against wood targets).
